The ESP has been getting all the spotlight, but in years past, this Thursday in November has been the day to get all the RIF personnel out the door before EOY. We have an abnormally early meeting today, so we'll circle the parking lot for black limos before going inside (our rides home). At least we have an incoming cleansing snow today if the carnage happens today....

Usually RIFs are on a payday like today. Today wold be a nice Thanksgivingpresent. ;-)
In the professional (i.e. engineering) side, we're told when our last day is- it could be months away. We then transition our roles and responsibilities to others before that date.
Nobody in the organization I'm in (fMCI) gets company vehicles that I'm aware of.

OXQ.. From what I have heard.. those employees who have company vehicles and get Rif'd.. there are normally limos of some kind to give those employees a ride home the day the RIF happens.. I mean they have to provide them some type of transpo home .. SAD but reality!
