Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

I got $160 base offer from current grade 7 $110 base in OR

What is the maximum match I can expect from intel. 160 = 110 + 50 but still seams reasonable pay for intel. Is there any way to stay at grade 7 after the raise?

My grade 7 base range 102-153. Competitive 160 offer requires moving to Texas. What is the best way to handle such a big difference with my 110 base pay if I haven't decoded if I want to move from OR to TX, but I do not want to miss 50k raise as well.

Intel won't even match that in SC, never mind Oregon.

Is the $160K in Oregon?

There's 0 chance Intel will match that now. At best you might get a bump now (I'll make up a number... 6%, since that seems to be the typical SMA), and a hint of a G8 promotion at focal.

I don't know the precise G7 ranges anymore (not to mention it depends on your job title), but I'd bet that you're already above midpoint, and the very tippy top is probably mid 120s. $160K would be somewhere around midpoint for G9.
