GAO axes IBM’s bid protest, teeing up a court battle over Pentagon’s $10 billion cloud effort

And this predictably was squashed. Money, time, and resources well spent!

It makes absolutely no sense to have more than one Cloud provider. It only makes things 100% more complex to have multiple cloud providers. I agree that IBM's multi-cloud strategy is totally wrong and another hype from IBM. However, hybrid-cloud as using a single cloud provider with on-premise systems is definitely the way things will go forward.

The whole Multicloud thing is BS even enterprise are moving to AWS. IBM , Oracle and many such legacy IT firms are again becoming irrelevant.

Okay lets THINK about this. Would you trust a company like IBM (or Oracle) to manage cloud computing for the Pentagon's JEDI contract? A contract to manage new weapons capabilities using Artificial Intelligence! My Lord ... please raise my taxes to hire and vet out the right IT Government employees for this effort. Unreal.

Not that IBM could have won it anyway. Well, maybe if the army was looking for a new smoke generator!
