I also tried sleeping with a processor back in '95 but at the time it seemed too big and felt too tight. Back then we were both single and life was much simpler.
A few years later I tried it again and although it was smaller the processor was no longer single. If you wanted the processor you had to engage with 2 of them.
Today the processor fits perfect but it is so tight in there it is impossible to maneuver.
At times some of them may go idle in order to save energy but then they wake up for a quick burst and go back to sleep.
Imagine all the swapping and switching that is happening between all the processors.
