Where did all the cash come from to buy the "Good Company" out? 2 billion just for GPI? Smaller fish dont eat the bigger fish my freind. Try a bit of logic next time ;)
Deserve to die? Clearly emotional response from the independent lol Sir or Maam.. this isn't the mafia, too many questions doesn't get you cut. In the independent world, credit hold/ refusal to pay is what gets you cut off.
Advance Auto Bought out all the good companys that were doing good like car quest and world pac, thats the only reason they have not gone under. Advanve alone sells c-appy parts.
Since Starboard Value became a major stock holder and got a seat on the board of directors it's only focus has been accumulation of wealth for the elite. This company wants to maximize profit to the point of stupidity and cash out. The dip in stock to under $80 dollars a share last year was a scam allowing those in the know to buy cheap and profit. This focus of Advance to reduce overall payroll by understaffing stores is affecting their bottom line badly and more customers are flocking to the competition. Advance appears to be following the example of Sears/ K-Mart making sure the upper management is rewarded well while the rest of the employees suffer.
As former independent whom they cut off because I asked to may questions,I don't know how they survive. The stuff they sell is low grade c-ap. They have ruined the Carquest name. They deserve to die.
