When the layoffs started, my manager asked me to put time on his calendar. However, I am out of the office. So now I am worrying that I am being laid off when I get back.

Hard to say. You might be getting more workload. You might be getting the hook. Either way, get your sleep. Not much you can do about it at Xerox.
If you are on your manager's list, there is nothing you can do about it! Just take it as a new beginning on the road to something new!
