Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

401k

If you have been with the company long enuff to have the old profit sharing , before it was 401 k . You can cash out the portion that is stock based and only pay taxes on the amount before growth, so if it’s 40.000.00 and only 9000.00 was invested back then , you only get taxed on the 9000.00 not the full 40000.00 the numbers are examples , you have to move it to a broker , linch will explain it better , IV recently done it . Invest the rest (401k portion in a IRA hope this helps

Personal hours are paid out when you leave in certain states. The information is on the wire if you look up the policy. States with laws requiring the company to cash them out will be listed.

No you can not touch these hours unless you use all your PTO and need them for sick in which they then would be unlocked and transferred to the PTO side at which time you can use them. When you leave you loose

Prior to PTO program, there was sick hours that we accumulated through our career. Once the sick hours reached the maximum hours of 192, the hours were then placed under Personal hours. Because of my "loyalty" not only did I max my sick hours that I have always known we could never cash out but I had reached nearly 500 hours in personal hours. Does anyone know if I can transfer the monetary value of these personal hours into my 401K plan? Would like to make sure these hours are not lost and continue to work for me before its too late.
