Rumor has it large reorgs are coming in Cloud Services - Dev and CSM

After the departure of TK and now two VPs getting the boot, rumors of a major reorganization is underway. One of the VP's let go (NK) had over 16 years of service he was Vice President of Software Development, Cloud Services at Oracle.

TK was frustrated with the lack of investment in infrastructure, but thought Oracle could have a chance if they developed software that could run on the other cloud providers. LE, MH and SC would have none of that. Their position was they could win based on superior performance in their rented data centers and that customers would pay to build the infrastructure.

TK has his own set of problems but at leas he is a realist. Oracle can not succeed in cloud with the current strategy. The rest of the leadership is smelling their own farts and thinking they can change the world on talk alone.

After the latest round of dismal (possibly) negative cloud growth as cloud credits are not used the hatchet man is rumored to do what he does best to solve a problem. The entire cloud services org, development to success management is about to be wiped clean.

What Analysts Want To See When Oracle Reports Quarterly Earnings

BRIAN DEAGON12/14/2018

Oracle (ORCL) is set to report quarterly earnings after the market close Monday, with analysts increasingly anxious to see if the database software giant can provide a more optimistic report on its cloud-computing transition.

"We want to see more walk and less talk from the company, and based on our conversations with investors, we think the buy-side does, too," Nomura analyst Christopher Eberle said in a report to clients.

"Investor frustration has manifested itself via increased short interest and underweight positioning by mutual fund managers, leaving Oracle as the only name in our large-cap universe with negative share performance year-to-date," he said.

Oracle stock closed at 46.60, down 0.6% on the stock market today. That's about where Oracle stock was trading at the start of this year.

No surprises on EPS, but if you can't deliver on cloud, you can pin point the problem and root out all the rotten development teams, pin the blame on TK and spin the mess as his. "We are taking a mop and cleaning up the mess." Expect a major announcement on a new head of development to replace TK. LE is shopping for talent with a very large wallet. In the mean time get ready to clean out your locker. Oracle has no place for those who can't deliver.

Don’t forget TK was appointed oracle president when MH and S.C. became co- CEOs, so sure.

Any promotion of HD is the end of oracle!

Hammy Sammy couldn't lead his way out of a well-lit emergency exit, with a head lamp, flashlight and strobe lights. How about hiring an external person with qualifications, not a golf buddy of MH or frat brother of the old dudes.

LE doesn’t have it in him to do anything, senile old dude who should have hired a competent ceo long ago. Of course, his ego wouldn’t let him, so now he’s stuck in sh-- of his own making and no way out. Game over!

I agree with TK, but Oracle will never become a great company with him as a leader.

Hopefully LE will change his mind and then fire MH.

HD leading the Dev org - omg! - what a total joke! Then again, oracle is beyond saving at this point so it really doesn’t matter who gets the job.

HD is a perfect fit for the role. He is conniving, pretends he knows things when he knows zilch, can't speak without getting coached extensively in front of a real world customer and will do anything to not take ownership and blame it on others.

Nobody in their right mind would touch TK’s old job even with a 50 foot pole. Can you imagine trying to dig oracle out of this hole with the 3 stooges up your a--!? That’s like dying and going to hell, except thay you’re still alive. Only a total imbecile would even consider it.

I heard LE has no takers for TK's role (no one good anyway)... My guess is his only option is to buy a company and stick the head of development in charge of Oracle development as a condition of the purchase... Its a doomed job for that guy.

He will get little to no dollars in infrastructure investment and have to invent software so great that people will buy the infrastructure to run it on and wait for Oracle to network it. No one can be successful in that environment. No one wants TKs job. Except HD. He would take it in a heart beat.

HD won't get the job because he cant speak a complete sentence with out having a minor head twitch or seizure like pause. Its obvious that the act of speaking is overloading his brain. Investors see that dude speak and they will drop Oracle stock like crazy.

AGTy do you mean shopping for an expensive head and then they will shop for others, or that LE will aquire a company and just drop leader/team into Dev? That might mean fast housecleaning to make room.

With TK gone expect at least half the people in the Dev org to be let go and that’s before somebody new comes on board. And then the new guy will do his clean up to make room for his people, so yeah people in Dev are screwed. Some deserve it, others don’t, but that really makes no difference now. Brooms are out to sweep clean, not exercising much judgement or discretion.
