Amusing as I found this and as vigorously I clap for him, it was a dumb stunt. I hope for his sake it's quickly forgotten, if not by the social media world, at least by the 'We were gonna hire you/but then we saw your video' /employment world

He, not she. Facebook video, not Instagram photo. He's a 17-year-old Canadian, he'll do just fine. He obviously know what too many American employees of Walmart never figured out: This is not a "forever" job and not something you should count on to support yourself or worse yet, a family.

By the end of the year, walmart wont have any full time employees left. The hour cuts just swept over Rogers and Bentonville AR. Can't imagine there are many places they haven't axed yet. 10 years with the company and now I have to leave because I'll no longer be able to afford to live.

Sounds like a case where store management might have failed. Sad it came to that outcome.

Well, she'd better be sure to never mention that at any corporate interview she has, that is, if she ever gets that far. Wow, what a way to ruin your career prospects for 15 minutes of lookatme. Hope she got a good Instagram photo out of it.
