Other than tools, appliances, or mattresses when do people want to run to Sears? I never hear my mother in law say "I'm going to look at bathing suits at Sears" or go find new shorts.. Its JCPenney, Boscov's, etc that get that shopper yet Sears has a whole floor of clothes and so forth. They are in a never winning battle.
Hmmm, I need a new hammer I'll go to Sears.. Oh wait why go there I can pick a Craftsman one up at my local Ace and save driving out there OR I'll go to Lowes and pick up some plywood too.
Hmmm, My fridge died... I'll get another one at Sears... Oh wait their delivery service s---ed when I bought my washer... Oooh Home Depot has a Whirlpool on sale, I'll go there.
Hmmm, My mattress has a big piss stain on it, I'll go to Sears or I can go to the 50 Mattress Firms or other mattress stores everywhere else that isn't at the mall.
See no one desires to go to Sears anymore. I would buy clothes there but usually it was my wife was doing an in store pickup at JCPenney and we'd park at Sears cause we liked walking around the ghost town to get to Penney's. I'd buy stuff that was on clearance and three months later the same stuff would be there..
