Thread regarding CVS layoffs

CVS s---s

If the Pharmacy is so important and fs is a waste why does my rx lose hours but the fs gains. I went to school for 10 years, and im great at my job, but yet I lose hours? How the heck am I going to do my job on this demand. With all the payroll in fs they can vacuum my pharmacy and ring all my customers out instead of put a couple sale tags on the shelf and sit in the office all day.

54k is seriously not the minimum. 48,500 is the minimum. Look up the fair labors standard act that was signed into law. Obama made 48500 the minimum if you are a salaried manager.

My base is right at 60k plus bonus. I’ve been with the company for 10 years. Started as an SMT at $40k a year. I’m in VA. There is a minimum federal weekly wage for salaried employees. It is $913 a week. This pay was adjusted a couple of years ago for a few new managers in our district that were under the minimum. One of our newest managers is at $51. She negotiated with our DL for a little higher pay because of the drive to the store. 30+ miles one way. Never hurts to ask, but you are above the federal minimum

Not possible . Call advice and counsel and they will fix it , $54,000 min. For employees that do not clock in! Are You a smit or coded as a manager? Do you clock in? Sounds like you are the lowest paid manager in the nation.

Why would I lie about how much I am making? And no I am not a female or minority. I am a white male, 34, and only make 48500 as a Store Manager at CVS. That said I work in a very low volume store. I only do about 12,000 a week in sales. So maybe that affected how much the DL offered me not sure if store volume affects how much they offer you?

If you are a female or minority’ call the ethics line and it will be corrected and you will get back pay. Discrimination in pay is a federal offense. Your DL will be held accountable. You are somehow below min wage for an exempt manager if you are telling the truth! Which I believe you are not being truthful

Lol @ store managers making 80-90k. Relax Alabama guys. Your salary is on point. In CA my average SM’s make 50-60k in the range before bonus. They might hit 70k if lucky but nothing more and tax is heavy here.

Honestly the upper brass thinks of all store employees the exact same. Pharmacist or sm it doesn't matter. We are all replaceable. We are seen as objects.

Here we go again with Pharmacists and Managers fighting for their self worth. Can’t we all just get along.

People shouldn't kid themselves. CVS is in cost cutting mode, and there's limited hours to go around. It's definitely a race to the bottom, and in a few years, cuts are going to hit Rx and store managers in earnest too. If you're at the higher ends of the compensation scale, you really will be looking at the 7-11 wanted ads.

Lol. The awkward moment when Pharmacists realize some store managers make close to or as much as them without going to college for 6-10 years and they don't have 150-200k in student loans. LMFAO

I'm sorry but hang a few tags? Try over a thousand. Takes an entire overnight shift with 2 people hanging them. Not to mention stopping to ring up customers and help them find stuff.

Planograms, seasonal, photo, end caps, BOH, quick pick, stock shelves, clean break room and bathrooms, take out trash, checking in vendors, outdates, product withdrawls, damages, price changes. Counting down drawers including pharmacy. Much more to do than I have written. Usually only 2 people per shift while pharmacy has many more.

Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York to name a few. There is an SMIT in my district makes $31/hr. 40 hours plus 5hrs time and a half. That's over 75k a year. Most store managers in my district make 74-85 base. I'm at 82 base been at cvs for 6 years was hired in at 73k as an assistant when that was a position. Highest bonus ever received was 25k before taxes, smallest was 16k. Not bad for a 7 11 manager lol

If you're that smart start your own independent Rx. No one makes you work for CVS.

Not sure how smart of a person you are if it took you 10 years to get a degree that takes the average person 5-6 years. You should have dropped out after the 1st semester. BTW there are Store Managers at CVS that make 75-90k base. With bonus some get into 6 figures. No college required. Average Store Manager makes 75-85k with bonus. Sleep on that

CVS is in the RX business, not the 7-11 business. While the profit from the convenience store side of things is certainly nice, it is not why CVS exists. When Rx profit falls, the costs have to fall to compensate, just like any other business in the world in the last 5000 years.
