“Because I am smarter than that and have enough savings set aside to where my job hunt wouldn't have to even begin for a solid 2 years - thats a 2 year vaca - that is what staying "thirsty" allows you to do.”

Amen!!! To this!!! We saved after they let all you mo--ns go, duhhhhh. I’m in a great financial position, when we’re laid off I’m going back to school. Can’t. f---ng. Wait.

Enjoy sipping kool aid at your new jobs.

Use your head dipfuck..staying thirsty means a two step process, grab a f---ing pen real quick and write it down 1) I get thirsty (wanting to do a good job and further my career and experience - the nerve right?). 2) I drink some Kool-aid and go as far as the company will let me. Ever heard the term "staying hungry"? If you stay thirsty - your thirst is not quenched therefore I shall have another drink of the Kool-aid. If I have my fill of Kool Aid then I have no reason to try my hardest at work correct? Which pretty soon leads to one looking for a job pretty quickly and like it or not EVERY.SINGLE.COMPANY.SERVES.KOOL-AID. We all drink it, get a pat on the head from the bossman, and keep plugging away. F---ing Christ your dense.

I think we all realize that the site being called "The Layoff" would have to do with some pretty negative sh-- right? I thought it was about Layoffs and f--- me if it wasn't -again who would have known? Thank you though for clarifying it for me and all of us bc I was thinking prior to your ground breaking revelation "I could use some inspiration right now" and thought of the first word that reminded me of inspiration and cheer - "layoff". Your explanation about not expecting negativity here is the equivalent of someone saying "I went to this p--n site and could not believe they had naked ppl on there." Your whole f---ing post makes no sense. I came here for relevant information not looking for positive vibes while chatting with all these people who are in the best mood ever regarding their layoff - like I wasn't ready for the onslaught of negativity upon coming here. No one is complaining about negativity such as "hey I heard Molina is doing X amount of layoffs" - that's negative right? Are we b--ching about getting relevant information? F--- no we aren't. Ppl are complaining about the belittling of others for choosing to stay and the"horror" forecasted that we will all supposedly be reeling from.

There will be no horror from me if Joe Z called me tomorrow and told me to pack my sh-- - know why? Because I am smarter than that and have enough savings set aside to where my job hunt wouldn't have to even begin for a solid 2 years - thats a 2 year vaca - that is what staying "thirsty" allows you to do.

Ohio can’t save the entire company. What are you thinking?

The “staying thirsty” comment doesn’t make sense . How are you staying thirsty AND drinking Kool-Aid??? Nonsense comment.

If you want to read positivity, why would you come to a lay-off blog site??! Virtually every company on here is letting people go. Take a look at other companies on here. They are all reading very similarly. There’s no company on this site that is thriving. There are other sources for info about how Molina is doing. This site isn’t a Molina barometer. It’s open discussions about companies that are letting people go. Complaining about negativity makes zero sense.

It’s certainly an individual choice to stick around until you’re let go. Meanwhile, the analogy to Jonestown is spot on. It’s a fools errand to stay, but have at it. Keep this page bookmarked because sooner or later, you’ll come here to post that you’ve been let go, to your shock and horror.

Joe"s end of year speech was moving... but he would sell the company from out from under us in heartbeat if it meant more money in his pocket. He is all about $$$ nothing more.

I still think we need to get out and get out fast! We got our sh--ty bonus- the Indians are here and still coming. We got sh-- on the floor.....the company is a mess.....we got senior leadership hiring their housekeepers....JZ won’t buy a house- just a condo....I mean we GOT TO GO NOW folks! Don’t stand there and stare down the eye of the storm!

The Kool-Aid thing is getting old, I mean I get if people want to post relevant information about company changes and things of that nature but the dire warnings to tell us to get out is ridiculous. Why does it matter so much if we're still there? The comment about us never being one them makes no sense because by staying at Molina and or any place we choose to go whether it be a departmental transfer or a company switch it gives you experience and moves up the ladder to be in positions like that. People like Joe didn't walk out of college first day looking for a job it's someone come up to him and say "Hey Joe you want to be the CEO of a multibillion-dollar corporation?" Your dire warnings are not changing ppls minds. I have never read a post that warns of some b---s--- and think "oh sh-- I need to look for a job ASAP".

All this talk of kool aid. Is that still a thing? There was nothing worse as a kid to get the kool aid packet and realize there’s no sugar.

This kool aid is paying us right now. This kool aid is paying the bills and feeding mouths. This kool aid tastes pretty darn good right now especially with the kool aid bonus. Not all kool aid lasts forever. Not even the kool aid you “Mr/Mrs Kool Aid” poster is sipping on.

One cannot help, but remember the great kool aid apocalypse in Jonestown, Guyana. People were exterminated because they weee lost, desperate and chose to believe the lies of a man. Just like anyone of the current employees who is holding a red cup to their lips. You are not above the antics of narcissistic executives. You will never be ONE OF THEM!!

If my math and memory serves me well, 918 people drank the kool-aid in Jonestown, Guyana. By all means, stay. It is your choice. Be wiser than the serpents you serve, entertain daily with a fools optimism and futile attempt to tame all in the name of pleasing. Guard your mind to circumvent further brainwashing, guard your lips and accept nothing from a red cup.

Glad to read something on here positive instead of the typical flunkie negative c-ap from people who are disgruntled or have been canned already. Work hard and see the results.

Well I can only say this I will drink as much Kool-Aid as I can because staying thirsty is what keeps people like me from being c-appy employees. I have heard the same thing as well Ohio is a big moneymaker for Molina. I will stay at Molina for as long as they will have me and I do so not because I'm supposedly drunk off this Kool-Aid but because of the time does come to where I need to get another job then I have no doubt and my capabilities in securing one.
