The Internet of Things will make 5G go to the moon! Forget Wi-Fi, everyone's refrigerator and dishwasher and water faucets will all be 5G, and that means $10/month each for Verizon. Now you know why Hans is so excited for 5G and IoT. It is a license to print customer money!!
Dont believe the hype
Thinking I might just not write anything about 5G next year cos most of it will be hype/derp/inconsequential. The real news will flow once networks scale, devices proliferate and NFV accelerates
5G is a 2-5 year play to realize revenue. What do we do in the interim? Can we monetize hype?
the 3G guys were all negative about 4G a few years back. Wake UP - it is later than you think !
@WGmFaA2-1xvw 5G is a dumpster fire. I appreciate that you're towing the line for our stock price but the enthusiasm you show for the product lets me know you're not working on it; or you're completely divorced from the customer experience of 5G. Maybe channel that positive energy into selling more HUM.

The fibers being run, towers are going in, SDWAN and NFV vendors are polishing their automation and scale, we are trying to pick network sharding strategies. 2019 will have plenty going on, but I do agree actual adoption isn’t starting to get serious till 2020 for US.

Why are we stripping revenue generating departments so that he can pour money into a quick 5YEE buildout if he lets the competition demonstrate that they're beating us to the punch? It is Ericsson all over again. He still can't execute.
