With the recent sale of R&O in Greer SC , rumor is they are going to target people for RIF at OEM to accommodate people who they really want to keep from R&O.

it's also worth noting that a large chunk of the R&O folks would likely take significant pay cuts to go from a highly skilled job to a button pushing job - i doubt a lot will even look to go to OEM. there's also a decent chunk that are close to retirement and will likely wait out their package. OP is just stirring the pot.

no, Greer R&O hasn't been "sold". the business itself is just transferring to PHX. the facility will go on the market and they are already showing it to potential buyers.
Did the Greer R&O business really get sold to someone?
Well in January of this year they announced a RIF, then delayed it, then cancelled it altogether. It was a great way to start the year off after being told "Great job last year!!" and being fed a bunch of B.S. about how great the quarter was blah blah blah. Bottom line, everyone employed here is a RIF target. Merry Riffmas!!
