Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

February 2019 1st Quarter

Enjoy your Holiday with co workers, Sams Club is talking selling out to BJs Wholesale Club. Check the New York Post by Dave Davis, NASDAC will crash and Walmart Stock will drop to 47.00 a share, sell now! All employees will have to re apply because BJs wants their own fresh union employees. This meens they cannot make you do 5000 jobs at one rate. 2% raise will be a 6% everyone no matter how long employment, you will be dropped to 15.00 an hour with 40 hrs vacation days and 15 hours sick and personal days. Faliz Navidad!

Ask someone at Sam's about the million dollar bottle of wine that someone there purchased or the million dollar jazz events that were done in New Orleans as promotional events.

Guessing most of the employees using this sight got employed through the GED check box and not the high school diploma option.

Bjs doesn’t need Sam’s and frankly the company is a disaster. No NE footprint.

Just a mess. Wal Marts mess. It will get cleaned up eventually.

Fake News A--hole! Bjs is NOT Unionized!!

Quite the contrary, they are Very , Very Anti Union. Bjs does not have the Capital to buy Sam’s nor the logistics to Manage it.

Ocw. Actually there is, however, if you want to look up related Walmart articles just type Walmart in the search on New York Post.

Agreed. $20 an hour is decent as a second income but not as an only income for a family.

@zci. Exactly !!! A decent amount of money !! That would not be Sam’s club wages. Even after 16 years $20 an hour is not exactly decent.

@nds says he was in a meeting, so he supposedly works for the company. Then he says maybe BJ's will be better for YOU GUYS. Not including himself. The trolls think they're slick...

OP is right. I was in a meeting yesterday where a senior director made mention to a VP "maybe we should sell now." The VP said to wait until January just before "the announcement."

BJ's will be better for you, guys. Good luck!

Financial stability means you make a decent amount of money over a long period of time. Any employee worth their weight continues to work for the club weather their job was eliminated or not.

I love Sam's Club and look forward to working their for many more years. I thank them for providing me and my family financial stability in these trying times. I can't think of a better company to work for doing the non skilled labor that we do. God bless it's employees and all who work under the Sam's umbrella. Merry Christmas.
