I know there is so much negativity here lately - and with very good reason, I'm not saying there shouldn't be - but at least for today and tomorrow, try to focus on good things in your life. We have plenty of time ahead of us to worry. Don't let Sears and Eddie take this day away from you as well.

Merry whatever. Our store closed at 6pm. TARGET AND WALMART nearby are open until midnight. Corporate even shut our lights off at 5:45 pm. Customers were shocked at the lights being shut off. On my way out of the building, the parking lot lights shut off while prospective customers kept trying the doors, thinking they were stuck and not locked. Corporate never sent down signage for our doors with holiday hours and no one here knows how to print using the sign system.

@zca - No reason to feel "mortified" about a grammatical error. Several years ago I was composing a holiday letter to a friend. I wanted to start the letter with this sentence, "This past year has brought me some joys and some inconveniences." However, autocorrect provided this sentence, "This past year has brought me some joys and some incontinence."
I wrote that in the middle of the night while half asleep, but that does not mean I'm not mortified by that mistake. Oh well, the sentiment still stands.
