Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

How long can this go on for?

How long are we going to have to function without an official CEO? If Intel is not capable of finding (or lets be honest - enticing) the right person for the position, then why not simply make it official and remove the interim from Swan's title?

This is starting to be ridiculous. If we are such "amazing" company that is doing so well, why aren't people clamoring for the CEO position?

Intel is rudderless and it is embarrassing. The company threw up a stack of powerpoint plans with no credibility to deliver on just one. Swan is a finance with no technical competence. We are headed the way of GE RCA Motorola Yahoo Kodak Xerox Blackberry and many more.

The board needs to hire a retread from Staples or P&G. Oh already tried that

I find your question, 'How long are we going to have to function without an official CEO?', interesting. Think about it.... how were you functioning when you HAD an official CEO?? Not very well. lol

Why no CEO, it’s obvious anyone qualified is smart enough not to let his ego and ambitions be ruined by having his legacy tied to the failure that Intel has become

Instead of hiring another c-ap CEO, Intel would be better with none.

That's why.

Padmasree Warrior LOL - what exactly has she done? Random person from Motorola. If she is so great, why did Motorola run into the ground?

Similar to Murthy - did anyone even know what he did at QCOM? He nearly ran it into the ground.

Padma W nears 60s in age. 😐 😐 😐

Good genes, health care & good life habits always keep people looking younger than they are.

And she's already bizz with her own automobile startup.

Intel could have fared well acquiring her auto-startup than pathetic Mobileye.

Hard to fathom such an inconic technology company rudderless for 6 months at the time it is under assault from multiple fronts and it’s manucturing leadership and technology decimated, yet BoD can’t find suitable candidate.

The longer they wait the more likely good any reasonable competent candidate will not accept, kind of like a old women looking for husband, clearly something wrong, what fool takes it will be the laughing stock of the community.

Good job Andy and BoD for this one!

Who cares? Chances are Intel will hire a relic stuck in the 90's with no vision for the future.

Swan is too old not technical enough will never entice or make changes needed for new gen of engineers. I am sure he could not describe a neural net or a compiler vs interpreter. While Microsoft and Google have CEO with technical degrees from best schools and MBA PhD.

Do we want a over the hill aging oldie. Hopefully we hire a guy or gal in her early 40s with vision and global perspective speaking two or three languages would be good.
