Intel’s path in 2019

The article in the link was indeed an interesting read, as it sums up all of Intel’s efforts and plans that the company wants to pursue in 2019. No doubt there will be a lot of changes in terms of the new businesses and markets that Intel is approaching. My question for the folks on this board would be what are the workers going to be facing in 2019? This amount of change and a shift in the company direction is bound to have some consequences on the workforce at Intel.

Technology doesn’t seem to be critical in the classic sense, what’s the ROI to feed TMG and its billions needed per quarter and tens of billion for manufacturing. Without scale or leadership makes no sense! Going to TSMC or Samsung or even Global and OSAT is far more capital efficient. Most worrisome is in client and server AMD now has the upper hand on technology and scale. How can those divisions pin their future competitiveness on TMG,.

Where are the priorities, resources, and money decisions allocation being done w/o a CEO?
