The issue isn't Eddie making the bid, its that he does not have the money to do so, he wants someone else to put it up for him and he cant find anyone that stupid to do it.

He's had 2 1/2 months if NOT more than 15 yrs + to correct S-Marts failings ( Oooops HIS failings ) - another couple days ain't gonna help

Actually he DOES have sufficient funds to make a bid on his own. It isn't that he can't make a bid on his own, He is unwilling to use his OWN funds as part of the offer, But he is willing to accept support from others... at their own risk.
