It’s been confirmed straight from Lance that train crews, admin and management positions will be cut in 2019. Along with this more locomotives and cars will go into storage. It’s possible that another 500 jobs will be lost and another 500 to 1000 locomotives will be lost also. This is only for 2019 and meeting the G60 deadline. In 2020, another layoff will happen gong into G55.

Don't be foolish. We have ALL been told that there WILL be layoffs in the first half of January. Profits don't matter! It's about the stakeholders etc. ad nauseous but true! Just be prepared. No one is safe. We will however all be okay. UPRR just is not that great a company after all.
Tell Lance and the rest of the execs., VP, etc,,,
they all need to take a huge pay cut to do their part to meet the G60 deadlines.
