CEO should be fired b/c he’s the one who hired all the exec losers. They are short on real ideas so layoffs are the easiest thing to do. Expect more in early 2019. This exec team has destroyed so much shareholder value and it’s the workers (and their families) that pay for it. Get ready for a bumpy ride in the not so Happy New Year.

Anyways, we were talking at breakfast about how many Supervisors aren’t looking us in the eyes anymore. It’s staggering. Also, I’m pretty sure I’m on the layoff list. My Supervisor said he didn’t want my Netflix login and password anymore. Nooooooo!!!!!!!!

I have a feeling it’s close. My Supervisor won’t even look me in the eye anymore. I have a sinking feeling. My Supervisor was super nice before the Holidays. We used to have breakfast in the Market, but now my Supervisor won’t look at me. Does that mean anything? Who knows. Maybe I’m overthinking all of this. My other “friend” keeps telling me the leaders here know what they’re doing, just give them time to “do their thing”. I just can’t afford to be laid off now. I am definitely one of “instant gratification”, so I racked up some credit card bills. I guess we’ll see.

Pro Tip 1: To avoid the layoff “list”, come watch the ELT compete and win in a hot dog eating contest and see how many Rocky Mountain oysters they can swallow. An added bonus game is a chocolate pudding pie eating contest. We will need to remind them to wipe the chocolate off their noses (cause they seem to forget that).

Long term gas and oil prices are low so cash flow will continue to face head winds. SWN has hedges in place that will mitigate some price related cash flow erosion. But SWN’s expenses, especially G&A, are too high. Leadership can try to grow the company or cut costs or both. Since they are short on ideas to grow, they will continue to cut costs by layoffs. They have become really good at laying people off so expect more of the same. You’d be surprised how fast they can execute a strategy to get smaller. Too bad they can’t execute a viable strategy to grow. SWN just keeps getting smaller under Way and his hand-picked team of failure.
