Thread regarding Sears layoffs

To my fellow sears employees

Lots of false rumors and inaccurate Info being spread here. Eddie, monster though he is, has in fact made a reasonable offer and will most likely be the winner once everything shakes out. We will be down to 400 plus stores but we will survive.

The liquidators and other leeches will not be able to make the numbers work. So I just wanted to say ignore the trolls and the day traders and the “moms basement” dwellers that we see here as one of our coworkers so eloquently put it.

Can we come back from all this and grow again? It’s hard to say, but I think we as employees can, if given a chance and unshackled from the companies prior liabilities and some of the poor management we’ve been forced to endure.

Keep the faith!

Winner of what? A money losing operation that destroys cash by the billions with dilapidated stores, destroyed relationships with employees and vendors, and negative brand equity? Seritage, an Eddie owned company, spends an average of $150 / sq ft renovating its spaces for tenants that aren't Sears, so it well knows how terrible a shape he's kept things over the years. It's so bad that they can't even turn a profit fixing up the spaces for the next guy after fixing it into marketable shape.

Just how badly vendors and various parties are getting screwed has already been calculated to the penny. The payment plan is already in place, and it's there only because the judge cracked the whip. Now we're awaiting the auction to see how badly bondholders will get screwed. Vendors are done with Sears, and have said as much in open court. The CDS thing is over with too, and Sears and Cyrus looked super shady in its resolution. Rest assured there will be investigations there. Sears has looked like a bad faith actor throughtout the whole bankruptcy process, and this stance has not won it any friends.

@WVTRksL-htc - we are not “dying” we are transforming!!

My God man, open your eyes !!!! Anyone but the trolls on here can see, stores have inventory for the first time in years! So much inventory it’s crazy, new product lines, merchandise is flying off the shelves.

The real home of Craftsman, diehard and Kenmore- all which are now number one sellers at Amazon too!

In the next decade Sears will be the industry leader in appliances, auto and home improvement. Take it to the bank, nothing beats some savvy licensing agreements that we have finally entered into.

To my fellow employees, look at how all the short sellers and day traders posted on here so quickly and created new threads to try to bury this one!!

Hahahaha - how is it down in your moms basement all day playing with your toys and keyboards?

By the way SHLDQ was up 80% yesterday- momma will be home soon and she’ll bring you all a nice bowl of Mac and cheese to go with your whining. LMFAO

The grown ups here are going back to work now to save SHLD and grow the new company

Ain't gonna happen.....This company is too far gone to save.

There is nothing unique about Sears anymore to drive customers into the stores.

Running it with the magnificent management that managed to lose $2B in 9 months? Good luck with that. Eddie's b---s--- offer has a don't sure me clause that already got rejected once. His real offer is purely for the real estate, because you can't run an business when every vendor hates your guts. He probably wants some cover so he can pretend like he tried to save Sears.

buildings will continue to NOT be repaired/rejuvenated, clothing racks and hardlines shelving will continue to break down, and wages will continue to stay frozen in time. Eddie isn't going to

reverse his thinking. good luck.
