Does anyone have any information on the white collar layoffs? Both in Michigan and at the other US locations? On or before Jan 15th? Sometime after MLK day? This week?

The TeamGM payout was relayed to me by someone who saw an email that outlined the details to the level 8 managers. I cant confirm that it’s true as I didn’t see the email but it was told to me. I’ve also been told that managers now know exactly who will be laid off. I imagine next week will be pretty unproductive and managers will be asked a lot of questions and hit up for details. Hope this helps.
401K vestment occurs after 3 years of service
any one who has been hired in the last five years could also be a target as they can GM can forfeit the contributions made to the 401K plans... but other factors are also in play here for decisions regarding who would be candidates for departures... be ready to move out of your desk at moments notice...
@3vpo - teamGM bonus paid out along with severance? I highly doubt it.
What I’m hearing from the Austin IT Innovation center is that layoffs will happen on a rolling basis on the 14th through the 18th. I’ve also heard that team GM bonus will be paid out for 2018 as well as severance, likely 2 weeks for every full year of service. Six months of benefits will be provided. Good luck to those who are laid off as well as those staying behind.

Actually there are many execs around the country that extract great pleasure from their ability to layoff employees and make their lives miserable. In fact some even get promoted for taking such actions. Hone are the days when employees used to be a valuable asset and treated as one.
Frogman - can you elaborate on the announcements that are being made? Are these to white collar or blue collar? I understood that the blue collar factory announcements have already been made. Do you have an idea of what the packages entail? Can you tell me what the specific departure dates that you're seeing?
Announcements are being made now to individuals with specific dates of departure and employee packages. You too are not exempt from the ugly situation. You are running out of time. See this is how the Great General Motors treats there employees. Alfred Durant had a lot more class. Good Luck to your future new car sales. Employees you are now being put out on the battlefield to fend for yourself and your family. There is no Army to back you anymore. How does it feel?
