When does this scheduling go into effect? Half the staff is ready to walk already and we don't even know what shifts we get or when they start.

When is the bakery stocked and when does the bakery stuff that comes off the freezer/cooler get put away on this new block scheduling? I work overnight in the bakery, I put away whatever bakery stuff comes in plus stock the bakery.

As a produce lead my manger told me i night for my audit. And start doing at 6:00 so I can have it done by 9:30. I’m the only produce lead in my market they didn’t quit. I hate these new hours.

Everyone I know that I work with is p-ss-d about these new changes! Let’s all pick a weekend all over the country and call off at the same time. Let’s gets corporates attention! Make it for an event date while we’re at it!

I’m a Prepared Foods Team Lead and was told I would have to do my audits when the store closed. My schedule is 1 to 930 every night. The store closes at 830, so, how can I get a freezer/cooler or deli audit done in one hour? The answer is... I can’t unless I stay to midnight.

I'm a Prepared Foods lead and just got hit with the block. As another poster said, I'll be off Tuesday and Wednesday and close the rest of the days. Work every weekend. I wonder how many PF and Produce Leads Sam's will be losing. I get the idea behind doing it, but they are completely ignoring the human element. People have family and obligations and this is completely screwing it up. Not to mention, I don't know how audits, inventory and ordering will get done properly.

What I can tell everyone and I hope it's not the same everywhere, our club in Michigan is ran with no order. Team leads and COS don't talk to each other.Breaks are a joke but don't bring issues to anyone's attention or your being disrespectful. COS's hide never can find them. The store manager has no control over the store.

I’m a produce lead and this new block scheduling absolutely s---s for us fresh leads. We don’t get a option To pick our days off like other leads. I get sun and mon off and close every night. Also I’m a firefighter and we have meetings and training and Night I close. When ask my manger about this he said nothing he can do this is your new schedule just deal it with. There is no changes to the schedule This bull because now i need to chosen if I can still be on the fire department and work this stupid schedule.

So, the way block scheduling was set up for fresh team leads is horrible.

The worst, prepaired foods team lead work everyweekend and close everyday. Produce tram lead off sun and monday and close everyday bakery and meat team lead work every weekend and open everyday.(for now they're saying that's a set schedule for good)

You can not have a decent family life.

Is this happenning at every club?

Anyone know how block schedule works for part time individuals that are on disability? I can only work 20 hours a week and unable to close.

We will do what we have to do..change is part of the job. It is however sad that we have a company that hates good service. Best example 3 employees on a lane. Go back to one. And open all the lanes. Stop forcing members to self check out. And scan and go is even dumber. I will never put my self out. To wait on myself. If I wanted no service I would shop Amazon on line

Block schedule s---s! I was an opening MSS now for like 7 months now we’re all getting switched around one day I’m opening the next I’m a mess the next I’m closing. Why would they do this when they get us used to opening then they mess ur sleeping schedule up by having u close. Keep in mind when I open I’m in bed by 9pm because I get up at 4am. Now I get home at 10:30pm don’t sleep till 11:30pm. This is horrible! They should have a set schedule with opening and closing shift. They should get to swich up the hours on us. Horrible! Thinking about quitting too much to be pregnant and working here especially having a manager that gets mad at us and starts cutting our hours

We start block scheduling also in a few weeks it actually benefits seniority for once in this company ..only full time though.

Its being implmented in my club in Florida. Everyone is hearing different things. First manager said seniority does come into play, which I so is like because I've worked most every weekend over 10 years. Then another manager said later no it does not. Nobody knows. I would have liked to read this info for myself. So I can understand whats going to happen.

It's the same BS of Red Prairie that everyone was forced to use for a few weeks when it first came out then realized it doesn't work.

Company is just rehashing the same thing with a different name. I'm sure some home office big shot tossed the idea out (with the new name) and everyone in the room gobbled it up.

Look to be using it for a few weeks before your club smartens up and ignores it just like Red Prairie

Block scheduling is two sets of schedules only. Openers and closers. 5am to 130pm and 130pm to 10pm. No mids. Hourly associates get set schedules and back to back days off with seniority getting the pick of the litter. Team Leads rotate two weeks closing, two weeks opening with set days off. How it works is that opening Leads walk the Club and see where there are opportunities and direct all their associates to knock it out. There are no more departmental walls. We are now four wall associates handling what needs to be handled for the Members as one team.

But, if you are short handed this concept will not work, unless management jumps in to help.

Remember Red Prairie and the whole idea that it used sales information, by the hour and by category, to determine when each area of the club was receiving the most business and therefore designated the amount of hours and when to schedule associates?

It's the new name of that.
