Seems kinda dumb to do that, even if you have your account set up in a way that you actually could. The stock will no doubt go up as soon as word gets out, so you’re only losing money and selling cheap to someone else who will profit off your misfortune.
I sold mine about 9 years ago.
Its interesting that you posted this. My husband and I found out about this site a few weeks ago after overhearing employees at Macy’s complaining. We started reading information from all the companies we own stock in. And I can tell you that we will probably be dumping all of our stock in any retail company. We don’t make enough money off of it, and even if we did, it’s difficult to look our neighbors in the face as they are loading moving truck so they can go somewhere else to find a job. Half of our neighborhood is already empty and most of the stores around us are closed down including our mall. We picked this neighborhood to retire in but now it’s been gutted, and it looks like mostly as a result of corporate greed. We are going to invest our money in companies who want to build up communities not deplete them.
