Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

These cuts will result in a law.....

The severance package offer is a slap in the face considering we work 48 hours a week mandatory.

I'm not storeside, I don't wear a vest, I don't do power hours, store manager's not my boss. Sound familiar? Of course LPs aren't going to be treated the same.

Becareful taking any severance. It includes a non-compete clause that could get you in trouble if you get a job with anyone who sells the same brands Lowes does. That includes any place that sells appliances or any home improvement products.

Also, Lowe's doesn't have to pay OT on severance. Fair compared to other managers? No. Illegal? No. Lowe's isn't breaking any laws unfortunately. They just aren't fair to LPs as they would be with say an SSM.

OT & 48hrs is a sh-- show, & the only way Lowe's gets away with it, is because it isn't illegal. They could care less about LP which we can obviously see.

Psi suits had zero to do with layoffs.

PSIs have won two class action suits against Lowe’s in regards to exempt status and overtime requirements.

Layoffs and restructuring happen all the time. Nothing will come of any law .....

You are right in that it's a slap in the face, but a lawsuit would go no where. Paying severance is not mandated.
