Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Thursday

This Thursday is calibration day for all salaried manager roles. There will be several managers that will be terminated based on job performance.

When they restructured last year th evaluations were changed as well and the evaluations are much harder and tied directly to his/her role. Unfortunately most of the managers didn’t pay attention and will be in shock when they receive the news.

Get your popcorn ready

If there is one constant it’s change. The company has every right to adjust for current trends or future needs. Almost every retailer deals with this at some point or in some level. Retail as a Career is a dead end. Esp here , but they are not alone . It’s pretty much the norm everywhere as Brick and Mortar retail right sizes for the battle for the future. Just the way it is .

Who knows what will happen. I highly doubt that they would do closings two years in a row. It would make investors and shareholders too nervous. They do not want them to sell off their stock. I'm sure changes will occur, but closings no.

Nothing is happening Thursday. You are most likely 25 plus years old and still letting your parents support you while you go out and buying the most expensive electronic devices.

Thursday is also closure day. I wonder what good news they will announce. Like last year where they announced raises and a bonus at the exact same time they were closing 63 stores.
