Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Bankruptcy/Liquidation Requires No Severance Payments

This is reason #790,255 why you don't sign on for 7-8 year car loans and use credit cards to go on vacation or buy yourself worthless bling. 68,000+ people about to encounter the REAL state of the US economy.

That's the one with 45 million on food stamps, hundreds of homeless camps across the nation, and millions relying on friends/family because they can't find work, or work that pays the bills. Wonder how many of those 68K looked down on others like this, and now will become one of them.

Karma is a B!atch!!

The economy is all fake. Debt ridden smoke and mirrors. It started to crash in 2008 and was out on life support.

Welcome to the real world " That is outside of TV Land".

37,521,678 are on Food Stamps.

38,178,718 are Living In Poverty.

Of the 328,282,761 in the US Population 122,246,988 are US Taxpayers.

Yet the USA workforce down by 16,640 Since 2000 "19" years ago.

If the numbers offend you don't look at them live in your little bubble TV Land.

I just wanted to say that yesterday was my last day at Sears. I am very happy that my store finally closed. It is kind of sad that I wont see my co workers like before its just a done deal overall.

On my surprised I got a severance package that I didn't expect. If it happens I will get a nice month paid along with my unemployment.

Severance does not get a better standing then debts owed others and unpaid. Severance is a gift , not an entitlement and can be cancelled at any time . You have been warned here for years

most people on food stamps are children or the elderly. Every Sears store has a competition which is seeing an increase in business and is hiring. Go with hope , not fear

"Food stamps as a percentage of the population are actually at a 60 year low you know."

Is that so? Well, I guess the economy was in a recession 60 years ago then, since Bloomberg doesn't seem to share your frankenstats delusion.
