Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Xerox promises.

I took the VRIF at 59 with the understanding that they would provide a health care supplement ($290.00 monthly) until 65. Well Friday I called to ask why i hadn't received the supplement for the January insurance payment. ($719.00 monthly) They told me the company has ended that.

Promises made promises broken. I took the VRIF after 32 years because of what they promised.

Don't trust these SOB's.

ACA enrollment just ended but you are still able to enroll if you have a qualifying life change

I would call HR back and ask WHY you did not receive a letter notifying you of this recent change to the retiree health care supplement. The announcement was made in mid October 2018. If you live in the greater Rochester area, the change made the mainstream news. I would also recommend joining ARXE (www.arxe.org), especially if you are outside the Rochester area, in order to stay on top of retiree related topics - although, given the minimal support Xerox now gives retirees, there isn't too much to keep track of!

"With the understanding"... Did you get it in writing?

Bring a lawsuit.

You might be able to do it in small claim court, even.
