I heard this as well Membership managers will be given the option to sign up for the new grocery manager position that will be posted after the end of the year. Overnights is coming to days and APM will no longer be over groceries they will resume the new Backroom mgr role along with there normal duties. ON mgr will be offered severance pkg. The APM has already taken over Backroom position so this seems to be falling into place.
This has not happened at our club. Or not yet anyway. I think people are expecting HO to do away with MTL positions and have 2 membership Coordinators
Has this happened at a Sam’s Club or you just guessing? Our marketing deny is getting new iPads the same day as the membership desk.

@xaf I too cant wait to be offered severance. There is not enough business to justify having 2 Membership Coordinators. If they take away the position as MTL surely they will offer a severance, which will gladly be accepted. I'm done and exhausted waiting for this circus to be over.

Membership managers will be given the option to sign up for the new grocery manager position that will be posted after the end of the year. Basically the entire marketing department will be eliminated: membership lead, coordinator and champ. Membership is another position where as much as possible will be outsourced 3rd party.
No if this is true then I think they eliminate both positions. Then start with 2 part time coordinators. There is not enough work in marketing anymore to justify 2 full timers. Even if they make 2 full time positions the MTL title will be gone therefore offering a severance package. I am ready for it. It's been a great ride no hard feelings. Just ready to focus on my future.
If this is what they plan on doing I sure hope they offer severance for marketing team lead .
