i am sooooo glad I took the VSP instead. I do not trust this company. To many inconsistencies between what they said on calls vs. what was in the employment offer. I suspect most Vz employees will be gone by day 365.

Apparrently VZ asked Infosys to guarantee the employees will be at VZ for 6 months. After that it all depends on the project

You need to read the contract you signed with Infosys carefully. They moved 3G folks from ALU to HCL in NJ and TX. There are many formerALU folks working at Vz in NJ. Just ask someone who got moved to HCL from ALU.

My company (not Vz) moved all those who use to work on 3G UMTS wireless work to HCL (another Indian company). They guaranteed a position within their company for two years. They made people work on their current project for one year and then offered them a different position with another company they contracted with. But HCLs rule is to work at the customers (contracted companies) site. So if the customers location can be anywhere within USA. So don't think you will be working on Vz project, but they can outsource you to a different company they contract with and you have to move to wherever the contracted position is located. If you don't move, then you will be voluntarily resigning causing you to leave without severance since you are leaving on your own. They are offering you a position (during the second year), so they are keeping their end of the bargain they agreed with Vz to keep you employed but it's your choice not to take the relocated position.

@WbGltip-mbt So far InfoSys doesn’t sound good at all.

They start on Dec 31. Ask after atleast a month. Also the issue with Infosys is you may change work place frequently and sometimes have to fly. They apparently have forced some people even to move (this I heard on this board - nor from anyone I know)

Of course most of us, do not start until Dec 31.

Ask in June or July.

It’s good and it’s bad, depending on your experience with it I suppose, making for happy and sad, with money sometimes the same, and it benefits some with guarantees a year or longer perhaps. Hope this helps.
