I am getting worried that by closing all these stores, Sears and Kmart will no longer be able to buy items in sufficient quantities to compete with the likes of Walmart and Amazon. Hopefully they will soon open some new stores to take the place of the ones that were shuttered. Maybe in even better locations, maybe also in nicer condition.

You must not work for Sears or Kmart. Vendors already stopped sending us stuff. Doesn't matter because we don't have any customers except people looking for the bathroom.
Sears/KMart has one foot in the grave and the other foot on a banana peel.
Only a matter of time now before it's all over for them.
There are more important things to worry about at this point....Put your K Mart pom poms away and find something else to focus on....Sears and K Mart are not long for this world.
They aren't competing with Wal-mart and target anymore. They haven't for years and they are just trying to survive.
