And some who seemed like sure things to be gone might get denied. No one really knows until it comes in writing but dont be suprised when plans change. Verizon has the right to do whatever it wants.
HR knows how to do HR and how to read from a script. That doesn't necessarily equate to knowing how to make business decisions that affect some of the largest VES customers billing millions of dollars in revenue, and some with upcoming contract renewals. Any exec worth his/her salt is not going to go to these kinds of customers on 12/11 to tell them that x% of their account team or MS team or whatever team is history in just over two weeks. They have been discussing and strategizing for weeks now and mostly just needed the final tally that came in on 11/17 to finalize their plans and figure out which pile names go in. Though originally my director seemed totally fine with my desire to be gone on 12/28, he has since advised that our senior leaders have now pegged me as a March roll-off and that they expect no push back with getting that approved by the powers that be. While it's not the "Official HR 12/10 Notification", I am pretty confident that I'll be here until March. Bastages!
Org looks like vp level. Too many applicants means people get denied. And its happening already
Wvl is the .org based off director level and below or do you mean vcm ves etc?
If your org hits the 20% or less reduction number for then you'll be gone. If it's more that 20% then they might be asked to stay. If the org didn't hit 20% reduction then those others will be RIFd.
Sorry if anyone thought that they were safe, there is no such thing and with Hans the Hatchet anything is possible.
Its coming directly from Hans and Board so no one else will have much say66
Sr execs ARE the upper management. At the end of the shift they are the people calling the shots not HR.
Sr execs dont want most to leave in Dec. However I assume upper mgmt will put tremendous pressure on them to release as many as possible in Dec
HR also said that the vast majority will go in Dec which contradicts what some sr execs are saying now that they see what they got to work with.
I think most people are aware.
