Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

Product management and support cut in Ann Arbor. Who is next?

I can confirm that product management and support have been cut in Ann Arbor.

The social selling team is history.

Of course, they cut them right after Synergy.

Next on the chopping block is sales and marketing. There is going to be significant layoffs especially for the sales teams.

It’s sad. I can see them having managers fire their team members and then firing the managers afterward.

*Decided to repost this @WanG7rZ-4pfw. Though more people should see this configuration, and I tend to agree with the OP’s predictions in the second part of the post.

There is not any drama going on.

They fired a senior director of sales and a sales manager in early October under suspicious circumstances. Who knows why, but surprise! They probably made two much fueh-kying money and that’s a liability in the NM - BP - CR world.

There is not any drama going on.

Managers are all but abdicating their duty and responsibility to their sales teams, taking sudden days off, probably taking other interviews because they see the writing on the wall. Some go AWOL for days at a time.

There is not any drama going on.

Emails and phone calls to collaborators at other sites and business units are not being returned. They do not have any out-of-office messages in Outlook or on their voicemail. Presumably, they’ve been let go from the company without time to properly say goodbye or they’re sticking it to TR, getting out before TR can have the satisfaction of doing it themselves.

There is not any drama going on.

They’re calling this a restructuring, but what’s happening at least in Tax is that cs professional is essentially filling all of the new roles in the new tax pro segments along with CR and those in her friends and family plan while other divisions are being systematically destroyed. I can’t wait to see how the sales restructuring will go. Wait I can, I am in sales and I am certain that even with good numbers that I cannot take it here any longer.

There is no drama going on.

I think they will wait until the fiscal year end so that they can close as much business as possible.

When new year comes, with new budget, they will lay off more people.

Until then, the company will stay mum to avoid crazy drama...

Are we expecting the cuts to sales to be in early December or do you think they will wait until after the first of the year to try and close as much business as possible in 2018?
