Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

All the reason behind the Talari acquisition

Even though the general public and the media described Oracle’s acquisition of Talari Networks as being odd or even illogical, it seems that Oracle has a clear vision of Talari’s place under its umbrella. Will that vision be effective, time will tell. Here is an article that explains the reasons for the Talari acquisition and points out the way that it's going to be integrated.

Talari employees should be looking for work immediately. It's in their best interest before they get laid off.

Just another appendage strapped onto the 1957 Edsel that is Oracle.

It will be "integrated" just like every other acquisition (except NetSuite - the trio learned a little after the disaster that is Micros). It will be duct taped on to Oracle's barge of policies, apps, no raises ever, no strategy or execution and the people will either be rif'd or walk away in disgust.

Same here. That sentence could be used to showcase "oxymoron" in any dictionary.

I got lost at "Oracle" and "clear vision", and couldn't continue.
