I’m afraid from reading how many people took vsp and how many people in my office that there is gonna be to many. And they will just flat out deny us. I’ll be glad when 12/10 is here.

"If they deny you and lay you off a few years down the road, guess what? You get the deal that was offered. "
Did you not read the VSP FAQ? Don't be spreading misinformation. The enhanced package ends June 28. If you volunteer and are laid off by June 28, you get the enhanced package. After that, it's whatever package they feel like giving you.
Affirmative, if there is a RIF after the end of June, for those who opted in, you are not eligible for the current VSP.
@jwm. If they deny you and lay you off a few years down the road, guess what? You get the deal that was offered.
Not correct. You only get the current offer up to end of June if later riffed. After June, it's the old package or whatever they try to change it to.
not taking all not even close.
I look at it this way, anybody who gets denied should challenge it, at the very least visit your local management, “you are retaining me but I want to go.” Put your hand out and say, “make it worth the wait.” If that doesn’t work get out and find employment where you are appreciated.
Not true. The materials say if you volunteered and are denied, you only get the enhanced package if they RIF you by June 28. After that date, volunteered or not, you get the standard package, whatever that happens to be.
Too many volunteers? They are taking everyone. Your separation date is all you have to worry about. If they deny you and lay you off a few years down the road, guess what? You get the deal that was offered. The people who didn't attempt to take the deal will have a smaller separation agreement. You could have simply chosen not to choose. Like the site said, they are taking longer tenured people first, and working from there. What's the dilemma?
