I hate Black Friday

Anybody else noticed that even the nicest members seem to turn into Mr. Hyde on Black Friday? I can only imagine how bad it would get if we were actually open on Thanksgiving itself (silver lining in everything, I guess.)

I'm telling you, the day has barely started and I can't wait for today to be over already...

The event on November 10th was much more of a success than Black Friday. We only had thirty five people in line at 7am compared to 135 on event day. Only my opinion, but other retailers had more incentive on their Black Friday sale items. After members had time to shop the other retailers we were busy selling a lot of throws and rain boots. Not a lot of big ticket items but still a nice sales day because we had associates on the floor to help the members.

One day event was far more successful than our Black Friday. It is every year. Such a waste of payroll
