CCBU Bangalore How is the division ?

I'm selected for Technical Leader position in CCBU BLR. But on noticing this website, there appear to be a number of drawbacks including the leadership in the BU. Can someone clearly mark how is the BU doing ? I'm currently relocating to the BLR.

To stay for the longer time in CCBU , Bangalore, do the following:

  1. Lick managers toes

  2. Do his errands

  3. Join his parties

  4. Say yes to his wrongs

  5. Learn spreadsheet

CCBU BLR is a joke with all politicos running the show. They are waiting when BXB will be closed (there are 24 employees left in BXB and they are there till march 2019).

The Director in BLR is a very shrewd guy with multiple faces and want some how the VP position and then want to run the party with his own people. The BLR staff just want to raise, solve and sleep defects, to show that how much work they are doing. There is no serious work left here. As mentioned in below answers, keep options open, preferably outside Cisco. In CCBU, you will loose on heath, wealth and even character.

Given the quality of the english used in these replies, it's clear that Cisco has given up om the contact center space. I know of more than one large company that will dump the products due to the ignorance displayed in these posts.

Moving directors and managers to principal engr/tl2 position is a game that started probably in bangslore some 3 years ago

Its a show to appease the top level

In India they do not give any importance to Engineering /Techies. Managers rule the world by playing politics. More over, positions like Principal Engineer and Architects are standby posts created to show that BU has lesser number of Management persons and many they move managers to these posts to maintain their Job grade. CCBU is not a good organisation in BLR.

Cisco relieved the senior sales people of CCBU in 2016. Cisco is decreasing the investment in old technology like on-premise Contact Center, yearly by 30 %. The work will be only maintenance and bug fixes after 2019. Cisco is getting steady revenue from this account and wants the money to acquire some other company that has Amazon kind of solution for CC. The VP/GM is driving this acquisition activity.

Cloud team is already ruined to dust. The PE leading this has relocated to BXB and don't know what he will be doing next.

Cisco is a very risky for senior technical persons.

CCBU is a c-ap in BLR. The leadership and TL/Architects are a pack of junk led by a creepy Director who is a real estate agent. There is a lot of buttering going on with a number of former Wipro Managers also ruling the empire. If you do not have any option then join it, but always keep alternate option to leave as early as possible.
