Fort Worth
7 mach 2 elect 5 pipe fitters 2 Boilermakers and 12 mso
Remember....unemployment is suppose to be SHORT term. If you're a pretty new RR employee you would not even qualify for RR Unemployment pay at all.
Yes RR unemployment is on the low side. It does help keep a roof over ones head tho.
Wow, I just look up RR Unemployment and it is crazy low. It says only $1500 a month that is ridiculous, I've friends that get almost $1000 week on state disability.
Round one of three...
How much time did the boilermakers have that got the cut?
Correct but paid five days and walked off. Yes recall rights but don’t expect for a while.
They are layoffs. Not necessarily walked off, but not working until they’re called back.
I was laid off for a year and a half when our PTC shop closed. They called me back after attrition warranted more electricians.
17 at Roseville. 5 machinist, 5 electricians, 5 MSO, and 2 boilermakers
Are these furloughs where they walk of the properties or just job abolishment and bumping?
So sorry to hear this! Those in the glass tower don’t understand or appreciate the ones that really keep this once-great railroad running. No, it’s not IT who can’t deliver anything in less than a year that doesn’t break immediately. No, it’s not Sales and Marketing whose lack of customer revenue is resulting in the storage of 1,000 locomotives. Does Accounting run the railroad? Oh, I guess they do actually.
numbers are right I am one of the boilermakers
19 mso, 14 Electricians, 10 Machinist, 5 Boilermakers, 5 Pipefiters, 2 Carman, 2 Supply clerks.
Those numbers you can take to the bank.
This is not true, numbers are wrong
