The vending machines might rack up more in sales than we do these days to be honest
@Wl6vjCW-1ptb This and its sad when even The Mob doesn't want anything to do with you.lol
Official word is that they are removing all toilet paper and paper towels from the restrooms on 11/30.
Welcome to the dirty side of Sears!
@Kia The vending machine owners actually pay Sears for the privilege of installing their machine in the store. They are removing their machines because the writing is on the wall, Sears/Kmart stores will be gone any day/week/month now. Another dismal Q4 will see to that. They don't want to risk leaving their equipment, product and cash in a store owner by a company that may very well chain the doors shut which would keep from being able to retrieve their machines so they are probably being proactive.
I'm surprised they didn't do it much earlier because there is simply not enough traffic in most Sears stores to warrant a vending machine. Foot traffic at most Sears and Kmart stores is a steady downward slope year by year with no signs of letting up. The vending machine owners could instead solicit a business or organization with much more public exposure that would, in turn, give their machines much more exposure than a Sears or Kmart store ever could.
Official word is that they are removing all toilet paper and paper towels from the restrooms on 11/30. Not to be restocked. So either bring your own or stop by and pick up a few pairs of new socks on your way to the commode.
I guess when you stop paying vendors they take stuff back. Who would have thought?
That is sad.
Sears stopped paying the vending machine vendors.
It would have been nice to keep them until the store closes there will be more foot traffic and they can sell more snacks/drinks
