Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

So how is Mr. Fritz making sacrifices

So with all of the lay offs and massive sacrifices everyone is having to make, I'd like to know, what exactly is Mr. Fritz doing on his part to help the greater good of the whole during this time dark times?

So as Chairman, President & CEO at UNION PACIFIC CORP, Lance M. Fritz made $11,303,088 in total compensation. Of this total $1,083,333 was received as a salary, $2,100,000 was received as a bonus, $3,200,007 was received in stock options, $4,800,280 was awarded as stock and $119,468 came from other types of compensation. This information is according to proxy statements filed for the 2017 fiscal year.

With that said, have you given any of these millions back to the company, as a small sacrifice on your part of course? I mean, it is the least one could do.

Haaaa!!! Well said. Glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t buy the liberal b---s--- around here. Hey snowflake how’s that utopia working for ya in San Francisco? Are piles of sh-- and d--g needles on the streets all part of the plan too? Beautiful utopia lol

Go back to your safe space.

Dont forget those Nordic countries D ont really make sh-- since they pay 60-70% in taxes. Sure the rich pay 90%, but you know who the ONLY one making money is? the government. Also why their minimum pay is a lot f---ing higher. Amazing how snowflakes can never seem to do simple math, probably why economics eludes them. The whole healthcare for all proves that. let's let illegals in and further burden what's left dying of our benefits and tack on 36 trillion overnight to the existing 21, sit back and watch the country burn as the economy fails and debts are called There's a guy here in co that's a big bernout leftwing nut too you guys should talk. Im sure you'd make great b--t buddies.

As opposed to our home brewed white nationalist terrorist problem? Face it, bud, you don't have an argument beyond regurgitating whatever talking point memes you got off Facebook, or whatever you dinosaurs are using today.

“I like how people always bring up Venezuela and Cuba, but never the Nordic countries. Democratic socialism is a working concept that allows free Enterprise and a strong social safety net.

And the unions are toothless because y'all continue to vote against your interests.

Who is fighting for the little man? The party which continues to give billions in tax cuts to the 1% and corporate welfare through government contracts? Or the party fighting for increased minimum wage, Medicare for all, and increased worker's rights/protections?

As for taking our jobs. We go through this every time the (R)s need a boogey man to scare old white racists into voting —these jobs are jobs that Americans will not take. The hard labor in fields. Our crops literally rot in the fields because no citizen will do back-breaking labor for 10$ an hour. The folks coming in to clean our break rooms for less than minimum wage.

You want to be mad at the folks coming over? Again, look to our corporate masters. They are the ones salivating at the opportunity to cut you for cheaper labor. Y'all don't think some knucklefuck will do this for less? And guess who is making sure the company pays you a fair wage. Oh, yeah, the "toothless tigers."

I know, it's tough. You've been living in your little bubble for a while. It's hard to know what people are going through these days because of your cushy union job. You haven't had to think critically for a while —you let those pretty little talking heads on Fox do that for you.”

I believe in you, though. Regardless of political party, we need to unite against the class war being waged against us. Don't listen to the bougie man pointing to finger at the man below you while he picks your pocket. Demand that the rich man get off your back and pay his fair share!

So you’re saying socialism/communism is the way to go huh? Ask the people in in Venezuela and Cuba how that worked out;)

I’d say most people see this corporate greed for what it is. Phuckin greeeeed. This company isn’t the first and won’t be the last to do this.....it s---s bad this whole situation whether you’ve been displaced already or your waiting to get the axe any day now. Would you rather let the Dems keep the border open and let more cheap labor walk in and offer there services to replace you? Or how about controlling who gets a job here first? Keep voting Dem you stoooopid phuck. Unions love when you vote dem even though they don’t give 2 chits about you when right now when you’re job gets abolished. They will say sorry bud, our hands are tied ;( Toothless tigers as somebody else ha said already 😉”

Typical pseudo intellectual, condescending, hypocritical, America hating, b---s---.

“Democratic Socialsts” are the same fools who think Hugo Chaves and Fidel Castro just “did it wrong”. You’re premise that “Nordic countries” have been so successful at it is based on b---s--- as well. Just do a little research. They don’t have to pay sh-- for national defense and the fact is their population is smaller than the US and your not admitting the fact that they are being inundated by Muslim immigrants because of their liberal open borders policy. Have you not noticed the problems happening in Europe because of these policies?

Stop s---ing on CNN’s Racheal Manboy’s inverted cack. She’s a smug, little, sophomoric, American hating, pseudo intellectual beeotch as well🍻

This is a typical situation when profit is the higher goal. The stockholders want profit. They run the show until you can't support the safety to the public. When the results cause financial and death to the public that is when it will change. The employees will attempt at all costs to prevent this even at the cost of their own lives and future. They know if they don't they will be blamed for any failure. It is how it has always been, nothing new.

The above is all true (voting against your interest). I have been in many shops across the up system where senior agreement peeps were listening to Mr. Limbaughs show without either realizing or understanding that he despises everything that keeps them employed. I have also seen people waiting to be picked up at crew hotels with their cooler / lunch plastered with "Vote Republican" stickers.

Understand who is most likely to support your interests or is at least less likely to undermine yours.

This is Important.

You'all are missing the big picture. Check out page 80 of Notice of Annual Meetings and Proxy Statements - 2018. Mr. Fritz gets to walk away with $44,954,914 in cold hard pre-tax cash if he is shown the door. Seems like a win-win no matter what he does.

Almost. While I agree with you that this is a class issue (bougousie parasites on the board vs working class in the yards and shops), you cannot deny that one party is actively enabling and encouraging their greed.

Baby steps. We have to vote them out and establish a base of power before we can advance the common man's agenda.

It doesn’t matter what political affiliation you are on, or who is in the White House. Democratic, Republican, independent,... etc...The same $hit would be going on right now just like it is. Lance Fritz and his board of sycophants is the problem. They are a bunch of heartless greedy turds that will stop at nothing to pad their pockets. They are corrupt, unethical, and total slime. Let’s not beat each other up, we are all the victims, and we are all in this together
