Just curious as to the Kansas City position. I'll left KC a few months ago. We're you let go?
Xerox practicing ,”Employee First!”
Here in California a group of techs who work on office color and black and white machines are to go to GIS asap, many will leave the slave ship some might go over .. good luck friends
I heard from a very reliable source that the IRIF planned for today was delayed two weeks—to Thursday Dec. 13. That is pretty much the last day it could be in order to get it into 2018 (since you get two weeks paid where you don’t have to come into work, followed by the 12 week lump sum severance check).
Dec. 13 is the date!!!!! (Unlucky number)
Can things get more devious?
I was told they moved the layoffs out one week. Another source told me that they were considering waiting until Dec. 13th. I tend to believe my first source better. Make no mistake - the next round appears to be big. Check the changes to HR 204.3, updated 11/28. Lots of new ways they can get out of paying severance now too. Like reassigning you to GIS. If you refuse, it's considered voluntary exit - no severance. Also look at all of the new ways they can give IRIF - based on 3 year performance review, or any criteria they deem appropriate. They're building the legal mechanism for a big event.
Maybe those being affected are a bit busy and will update when they can?
So were all of the rumors about big hits this week just paranoia and guesses based on prior layoff time frames at Xerox? A month ago it sounded like a done deal based on insider knowledge.
Given the lack of chatter on here, I am guessing that today is not the day.
I was let go last month. I cannot believe how much happier I am. Grieve for a day and then move right on. I gave over 20 years of my life to Xerox and realized about 7 years ago that they really don't give a Flying Philadelphia Fig Newton about you. It's all about the big bucks the upper crust can line their pockets with.
Go with a smaller company - where everyone knows your name and they genuinely care about you.
I don't know you - but I am with you in spirit. Keep your head high and don't let your fortitude waiver.
So sorry! Everybody says there is life after Xerox. After the initial sting, almost everybody ends up happier.
I'm remote out of Kansas City.
I'm so sorry to hear that. Where are you located? Trying to figure out where they are hitting.
