Intel plans to launch the 5G modem earlier than it announced

I'm not really sure what to think about the announced launch of the 5G modem 6 months earlier then it was announced. Obviously, it is beneficial to arrive at the market as early as possible but on the other hand, I fear that this decision was made based on the pressure to deploy the product before the competition, rather than on the fact that Intel has the technical ability to deliver in that time. To sum it up, think that taking our time and delivering quality beats the hell out of pressuring deadlines and delivering a flawed product.

Was 8060 not good enough for customers or is 8160 just a new moniker for a delayed 8060?
