I don’t know if this is just me, but I tend to see every activity from the company that is based abroad as a step towards outsourcing. India and rest of ASEAN market is real growt area for cisco where GDP growth rates touch 7% to 8% and growing appetite for new technlogies and technology upgradations. Cisco has market saturation in US/Canada and EU. They cannot real grow in developed countries.

I know in routing their main hopes of traction on large buildouts is india, asean bloc, south korea and japan. But all of the potential big deals there have tough hoops to jump in terms of feature matrix, scale, quality.
