I do understand change, what i dont understand is a billion dollar company giving only 1 week a year for people who is let go...it should be at least a pay check for every year...greed is horrible with this company

I think everyone getting screwed out of those sick/personal hours that the company has set off to the side need to get together and file a class action lawsuit. Those hours, like the PTO we have now, we ACCRUED based on hours worked.

The only reason severance is offered is because when you accept it you give up any rights to sue

Yea...I have abour 30 personal and 192 sick in thel untouchable bucket.....its the sick hours that are the main issue. And those personal hours should be paid out upon leaving and are not....GREEDY THIEVES!

You can still use your personal hours for anything you want after you have used all of your pto.

My club closed, and it was the best thing to ever happen to me. I got paid for 60 days and got severance. I was able to get paid while looking for a better job. I found a job quickly. That extra money went to 2 mini vacations. One with my husband in Miami, and the other was us with friends in Vegas. This month I am able to take vacation to visit family for Christmas. Something Sam's would never allow. Instead of wondering why they don't pay me more, I'm thankful I'm away from them. They s---, but they paid for my much needed get aways. Everyone needs time to recoup after working for this lousy company.

Could they give more sure. But in reality they don’t have to give you anything. Just be happy you’re out of that miserable place and is able to get a bit of extra cash with you on your way out.

Why should managers get double?? Worse greed is how they yanked 192 sick hours and alot of personal hours as well. Then somehow made it only available to use to care for a sick family members....I recall earning those "sick" and personal hours and should be entitled to use them as I earned them....sneaky m-fers.

What are you babbling about? Giving one week a year is universal standard. And managers get 2 weeks a year.. that actually really good. It’s free money take it or leave it..
