Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Let go / IR Tag

Hello all,

I got firing from Intel Corp (Israel) at July 18 due to a new manager that didn't liked me. of course he didn't mentioned this but the official reason is my lack in technical skills and non commitment. This was totally Bulls*** :(

I was on Intel Campus for approximately for 5 years (2.5 years as contractor employee and another 2.5 years as Intel Student).

My firing was not right, I didn't had any comment about my work and skill what so ever,

on the contrary - I was good worker, team member. All of my focals are Successful, got lots of good recognition.

Ask my self and lots of others co-workers WHY? and they all said the same (I know when I hear hypocrisy...) that they can't understand why I got fired..

I tried to do all that I can to make the Truth come to life - but no success. their are over powered the little worker.

Got an Open-Door procedure and also there (With a someone from the Legal department) .. and also their -> no luck.

Just to clarify - this new Manager, not enough the he got me fired, he also manage to put an IR label to my personal record in Intel, which from all of my understanding equals to that I won't be able to return to Intel Corp as their employee no matter what - Iv'e been marked :/

Their system is messed up - I know buy there are some good things there.

all of that issue because of one new manager that knew me only for 4 months.

Small Question if anyone here maybe will know..

Is it possible to redraw this IR tag that I got ?

It could also be that this new manager is doing someone else a favor to make himself look good. Intel is dominated by two-faced mgmt. They will tell you something to your face (ie how great a job you are doing) and do the exact opposite on your performance review. These people have made plenty of enemies, as managers, all just to keep a job! Is it really worth it?!?!

Move on to be happiest. File a lawsuit if you have a worthwhile case. It never hurts to have a lawyer look at it. But as others have said...don’t let a single injustice destroy you.

Likely you did not deserve an IR, especially if your manager hadn't provided substantive feedback on problems and what to do to improve.

Intel is inconsistently and poorly managed. Favoritism is rife. Truly poor performers are tolerated and even promoted.

Sounds like, for whatever reason, your new manager didn't like you. That that is enough to get someone basically fired speaks to the problems at Intel. My advice: somewhere else that's better and don't dwell.

Good luck!

Either you deserved to be fired and your complaint have no merit, or Intel treated you poorly. Either way, you shouldn't be working at Intel again. Let's say you're right and Intel is wrong, why would you want to work for a company that treats you poorly? Intel is no longer a dominant player in the tech market. There are plenty of companies to work for.

Sir, I'm sorry but it happens, especially in an industry as competitive as Silicon Valley and at a top-tier company like Intel. My advice:

  1. Don't look for help on here. This board, unfortunately, is filled with ex-employees who couldn't make it at Intel, are angry and post angry stuff here endlessly.

  2. DON'T become one of these people. Get another job and move on with your life. Put this behind you.

Good luck
