Been hearing around the office the 1207 sale fell through...again. Anyone know what the hell is going on? Would be nice to know what kind of commute I'm going to have next year.

The building would have fallen down before any buyer could take possession. Next lawsuit will be from an employees family after someone is injured or killed due to safety and zero maintenance on that building.
Buyer backed out and now it is not for sale. These geniuses blew it again during a real estate boom, they couldn’t sell ice to equadorians.
117 Sites in Aerospace currently. Plenty of "opportunity"
How many small sites does Honeywell have? Not sure what would be considered a small site? 100 people? 300 people? 600 people?
Consolidating sites makes sense. Just not sure there at that many.
Supposedly the buyers requested an extended or extension to the due diligence. They haven't canceled the deal yet but asked for more time. Which probably means it will fall through
But they may still force the closure to get more people commuting long distances so they will quit with no severance. And all replacement jobs they allow to be in USA will need to be in Charolette
The 5 year roof top consolidation plan is all small sites closed and majority in official hubs. 50% site consolidation was the publicly stated goal. We should hear more on Investors Day in January
In the end Hon believes a few people may decide they do not like a new commute and will opt to leave. And they can turn off the lights. Really every decision is how can we get by with less people wearing a Hon badge. They're accounts, they do not care about parts.
It would be nothing new for them to go ahead and move everyone out and make the 1207 building "go dark" while it remains for sale or lease. They have done it in the past on the old Engines buildings on Airlane Dr. in Phoenix, the Electronics buildings at Phx Deer Valley, the Aero buildings in Torrance, etc.
@dom It won't come out or our compensation if ALT can make its other accounting games work at the end of the year. No different than any other year. Pull out the list and check it twice. Gonna find out who's naughty (won't cook the books) and who's nice (who will cook the books).
They need to quit playing games and move the people out if they intend to keep the building for sale. Do the right thing and let us choose the site we prefer.
Buyer backed out. Building is back on the market. Seeing as HON was counting on this revenue, we can count on this coming out of our compensation.
No sale. Hearing that ALT is considering moving people out to other buildings anyway. No communication, as usual.
Perhaps where you may not have to leave the driveway...
