Oracle sues DOD over the cloud buy

I know a lot of money is in play here, but this will get us nowhere. In fact these moves, for me, border with childish behavior. We all know that Oracle isn’t exactly on top of the cloud market, why the hell would they think that they would be the first choice to a federal institution looking for a long-term deal for cloud infrastructure. Even if there was any corruption, which I doubt, it would be next to impossible to prove. So, with that said it leaves us with hubris and ego of our leaders to be the only reason why we are being dragged into a long process of litigation, wasting money and resources.

@1iyc - I see the joke, however, the reality is that the insanity has always resides at the top floor of Redwood shores and more specifically in the skills of the 3 stooges. They bought the Santa Clara campus to have a suitable, private mental health institution to be carried off to. Surprisingly clear thinking for a change.

When a customer doesn't want to buy your product, go to court and get a judge to force them to buy it!

What a bunch of sore losers. No wonder people don't want to do business with them.

When you can't compete, litigate. Of course, Oracle had no problems in getting wealthy off DOD contracts in previous decades, making vendors like Informix and Sybase irrelevant . The shoe has moved to the other foot. Oh and ORCL is loaded with ex-DOD people too just like Amazon so how can that be a claim of the suit?

Nobody including US government buying Oracle as main cloud provider. Oracle delay only and cost US taxpayers more.

But not to worry. Excellent Oracle products can be running on AWS and Microsoft cloud for DOD!

Oh wait. That was big LE vs TK beef. LE win. TK gone.

Oopsie! Too bad Oracle.

Stupid is as stupid does, the 3 stooges at their “best”. And of course LE’s ego in full display.

Oracle has a track record of suing competitors, their own employees, their own customers, and now, prospective customers. Who would EVER do business with them willingly?
