Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Why does Sears supposedly care more about this website on 1171 that's years of godawful reviews on Google and Yelp?

It's been completely and consistently trashed for years on both review sites in probably close to 100 reviews by people posting non-anonymously, in ways where the store owner is allowed to give feedback. Associates are named repeatedly, again over the course of years as are managers. And now execs from Hoffman get upset? Everyone in the whole chain of oversight should be fired.

Nor is 1171 isolated. You see similar kinds of complaints at Sears all over the country, mostly complaining about the terrible Innovel delivery service, rude associates, associates nowhere to be found upon checkout, associates refusing to leave their areas, waiting forever because of having to register people for SWYR, constant upselling, broken promises for PA and other warranty agreements. You can see Eddie's stupid metrics that have nothing to do with what "members" actually care about behind all of these. Every other business in the world is paying their reviews close mind, but Sears is checked out and nobody's home.

Sears has been all about "power" for decades . There was such a concentrated effort to snuff out unions in the 80s and 90s , it was unbelievable.

Once they pulled that off, they felt they could steamroll anyone that got in their way.

This site doesn't fit in with their business model. Organized resistance ? Oh my !

Go to the @Sears twitter account. Every reply/conversations with "customers" is full of sunshine pumping BS.... courtesy of Sears employee's and paid company shills

There used to be a corporate-run Q&A site, on one of those platforms like getsatisfaction.com, but I don't recall which one exactly. It had turned into the main place for Sears customers with appliance delivery/service problems to complain. HE got tired of having to pretend to care, so they shut the whole thing down about 2 years ago.

Even sears on Facebook gets very negative attention by consumers and their horrible experiences with deliveries, broken appliances that they purchased PAs on and can't get service paid for..

Sears does not go out of their way to give excellent customer service AFTER the delivery..

If the employees who sold them the appliances treated the customer that way they wd be fired

Sears drove customers away to the competitor a long time ago

Remember Eddie said that the company has all the customers they need! Lol

And now wonder why sales are in decline

I don't know the situation with store 1171 but Sears should have listened to customer feedback years ago. Since it very intentionally did not, especially at the highest levels, it really didn't care about staying in businesses.
