I've heard that this is only the beginning of a major restructuring and that we are looking at some major revamps in several departments that are yet to be announced.
Can anybody confirm or deny this? I would not be surprised if this was true, it would fit into Lowe's usual pattern...
I am sure they will combine depts based on service area and expect people to work the entire service area instead of just "covering". Its the next logical step when making cuts.
I keep hearing rumors of combining Hardware and Tools into one department, including combining the aisles. I told the person that Lowe's is not going to spend $10's of millions to totally re-merchandise the store.
